About Us
Lived. Felt. Given a Frame.
Ubumuntu Production Group is an independent creative studio founded in 2023 in Amsterdam, delivering cinematic work with the soul of a poet and the nerve of a rebel. The company produces feature films, dance films, documentaries, commercials, interviews, music videos, and sound, while also offering creative consulting for bold and unconventional projects.
The name "Ubumuntu", a word from Kinyarwanda meaning humanity, reflects a deeper philosophy: not a sanitized idea of humanity, but the full, complex, and interconnected reality of it. The word was brought back from Rwanda by the studio's founder, Elena Goldberg, and stands as the guiding principle behind the company's creative vision — to create work that carries emotional weight and genuine human connection.
Ubumuntu works with independent artists, entrepreneurs and creators driven by passion, curiosity, and conviction. The mission is simple but demanding: to create art that matters — work that resonates beyond the screen and lives in the space between intention and discovery, where true storytelling begins.

Our Philosophy
We believe the most profound stories are not scripted — they are discovered, felt in the marrow, and given form through the courage to be real.

Ubumuntu Production Group maintains its own technical infrastructure, including professional lighting, grip, electrical equipment, cameras, and lenses, enabling us to operate efficiently and support fully independent productions.
Our in-house equipment allows us to maintain flexibility, affordable costs, and creative control across a wide range of projects. When specific productions require additional tools or specialized gear, we can source and rent the necessary equipment to meet the technical and creative demands of the project.
Our technical specialists have extensive hands-on knowledge of the equipment and production workflow, ensuring that every setup is safe, reliable, and optimized for the creative vision.
